Let’s talk about brilliant ideas that meet the ridiculous, or is it ridiculous ideas meet brilliance!
“An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.” – Buddha
You may ask yourself “Why Didn’t I Think Of That?”
Coming up with an idea isn’t really the hard part. You may have a lot of good-to-great ideas since you have a lot of potential.
Think for a minute that everyone has million-dollar ideas, but people rarely act on them.
Once in a while you may come up with a brilliant idea. After some time you may think that’s really ridiculous, and then let go of the idea altogether. Your idea either gets rejected by others, or you don’t concentrate on it and it fades or disappears.
“You have to have an idea of what you are going to do, but it should be a vague idea.”
– Pablo Picasso
Now let’s think about the idea of Brilliant Meet the Ridiculous.
This is where ridiculous ideas are actually brilliant when you really think about them.
Think back on some ideas that were ridiculous yet brilliant. These include:
- Wearing a robe backwards without tying it known as a Snuggie.
- Taking a rock and yes people paid money for it known as a Pet Rock.
- Initially, a spring was slinking away became a children’s to known as Slinky.
- And yes, there is even a pillow that has arms to hold you while you are sleeping.
There are a lot of brilliant people who talk about ridiculous ideas. Think about any technology you use today, at one point in time was considered well ridiculous.
Start asking thought-provoking questions.
Generate ideas. Just remember, for every 100 ideas you come up with, at least 3-5 are your best.
Be excited about the ideas you come up with and in what you are working on.
Many ridiculous ideas become “cutting edge” then they become the “norm”. Then it’s time for new ridiculous ideas.
“Ideas can be life-changing. Sometimes all you need to open the door is just one more good idea.” – Jim Rohn
So the next time you have an idea that may seem ridiculous…
